My Big Fat American Haul

Good lord, I can’t believe how long it’s been since I’ve posted. There’s totally a reason though! A few weeks ago, I started my new job as a pre-kindergarten teacher, and I also started my Danish classes around the same time. Needless to say, I’ve been a VERY busy Angie, but that’s no excuse for the lack of blogging. I’ll try harder to keep up with this…

Anyway…on with the post!

At the end of July, the Viking and I enjoyed a 2 week vacation back home in the U.S of A. I had so much fun hanging out with friends and family, and I’ll be posting about our American adventures later on in the fall. Today’s post is all about one of my favorite things about the States: cheap clothing.

When I moved to Denmark, I didn’t really expect the expensive prices. Food costs more, furniture costs more, clothing costs more, everything costs more. I’m incredibly frugal, so I tend not to spend a lot of money when shopping. Therefore, the Viking and I waited until our trip to add to our wardrobes. Over the 2 weeks we were there, we did quite a lot of damage. Good thing we brought an empty suitcase with us…

So let’s take a look at the goodies I picked up!

Skirts

Denim polka pot skirt – Levi’s
Denim pencil skirt – Banana Republic

Gray Sweater Dress – JCrew

Sleeveless shift dress – Ann Taylor Loft

Sweaters

Baby blue cardigan – Tommy Hilfiger

Sheer Mint Pullover – Gap

Sheer back top – Gap

Faux Layered Top – Banana Republic

Dotted sleeveless button down – Banana Republic

Floral Sleevless Blouse – Ann Taylor Loft

Floral blouse – Ann Taylor

Sleeveless chambray button down – American Eagle Outfitters

Printed crop blouse – Ross

Striped tunic tee – Ross

Gifts

Adorable top found by my BFF in a Philadelphia charity shop

Top my aunt found for me on her trip to Mexico

I definitely had a lot of fun hopping around Pennsylvania to find the best deals. The places we shopped at were:

The Philadelphia Premium Outlets
The Rockvale Outlets
The Tanger Outlets
Ross

I’m glad I got an opportunity to update my wardrobe before I started my new job. These items will definitely hold me over until my next trip back to the States. Hope you’ve enjoyed my haul! Let me know what you think below 🙂

  1. Such cute stuff!! I love that sweater dress from JCrew. Shopping at home is also one of my favorite things to do – I went back to the US for over a month and I ended up buying LOADS…except this time it was all for the baby, lol! Hope you had a wonderful trip back to the States!
