Work Appropriate Wednesday | Blue, Gray, and Plaid

Hi everyone!

I’m kicking off yet another new series here on the blog because I wanted to share a little bit of my work wardrobe with you all. A lot of times, people assume that teachers don’t put effort into their work outfits because we work with messy children. This is far from the truth. Yes, my students are quite messy, but it doesn’t stop me from trying to look put together. I love finding fun (and appropriate) things to wear in my teaching life. I spend most of my week at work, so of course I want to be both comfy and stylish. Teachers’ wardrobes can be far from boring, and I’m here to prove it.

So let’s take a look at my favorite outfit this week!

Yes, these pictures were taken in my classroom…

I’m not a huge fan of wearing jeans, but I must admit that I love the blue color of these. They’re super comfy and stretchy, so I can easily sit on the floor with my students. I decided that I wanted to keep it neutral on top, so I chose a gray sweatshirt. I put a blue, red, and white plaid collared shirt underneath to add an extra pop of color. Finally, I completed the look with a silver statement necklace and black studded booties. These pieces are incredibly comfortable, and I still look pulled together while I’m chasing my after little monsters.

Sweatshirt/shirt/necklace – H&M
Jeans – Kohls
Booties – DSW

I hope you enjoyed my first ever Work Appropriate Wednesday. I can’t wait to share another teacher-friendly outfit next week!

What do you think of this look? Would you wear it to your work place?
