The 5th week of the No Repeat Work Wear Challenge has come and gone, and that means I have 5 new outfits to add my growing collection. I put a little more effort into it than last week (but not much, to be honest). I seriously need to stop being so lazy and really get into to the habit of planning these dang things out the night before.
Meh. There’s always next week!
On Monday, I channeled my inner Ms. Frizzle and threw on a space-themed drop waist dress that I picked up from ASOS. I added a purple longline cardigan that I’ve had since college, so who knows where I got it! If I had to guess, I would maybe say I found it at Marshall’s. I was feeling like switching up my footwear a little, so I wore some silver oxfords that I snagged at a thrift shop back in the States. This was the most complimented outfit of the week!
On Tuesday, I wore a subtle pastel sweater from T.J. Maxx over a light pink cami from Ann Taylor. I paired them with some jeans I grabbed at Abercrombie and Fitch over the summer. I never would have guessed that I would fall in love with Abercrombie jeans, but surprisingly, they fit me like a glove. I finished the look with some taupe, pointy flats from JustFab.
On Wednesday, I woke up late (because of course I did). I grabbed a red dress from H&M and threw a gray longline cardigan from Burlington Coat Factory over top. On my feet, I wore my black sneakers that I picked up at Banana Republic. Overall, this outfit is pretty blah, but hey…I haven’t worn it yet, so it counts!
On Thursday, I was in a comfy mindset, so I wore a cozy 3/4 sleeved t-shirt from Gina Tricot. The pants are from H&M, and they fit me super well, so who cares that they’re from the kids’ section. I added my black flats from Target because I wasn’t in the mood for sneakers.
On Friday, I wore a simple black dress from Selected. It’s way too long for me, so I shortened it a little bit with the help of a black, braided belt from Ann Taylor. I paired the dress with a denim jacket I bought at Marshall’s a few years ago and my studded Michael Kors flats.
So that about wraps up this week’s edition of the challenge. I have no idea what I’m gonna come up with for week 6, but I hope I can keep this challenge rolling along nicely.
